Something is rotten in the Kingdom of Lancre. The king has died under suspicious circumstances, and his cousin has taken the throne. Fortunately, the true heir, a boy of two, has been stolen away and adopted out to a troupe of actors, and 3 witches who have decided to meddle in earthly politics to set things right.
