Director - Jon Richardson

This play has always been a great favourite of mine and it has been a great pleasure to bring it to life for the final show of our 24/25 season.

I first came across this play many, many years ago after watching the 1941 film of the same name (which I have to say, in my opinion, does not do the play justice) and found that it was a fascinating story of people unlucky enough to be stranded at an isolated railway station at the wrong time (I’ll say no more so as not to give the game away!).

Cast at the first read through

It is story that has always stuck with me and now so many years later I have had the opportunity to bring it to the HGLT stage.

Paul, Christine and Al

Working with the cast and crew on this has been amazing and I cannot thank everyone enough for all their hard work and commitment to this project.

Director in action

It has been a tough but enjoyable six weeks of rehearsals, set building, costuming, lighting and the many other things that are needed to get a play ready for an audience and we hope you enjoy our presentation of The Ghost Train.
