At the theatre

Theatre bar
The bar is open from 7pm until 11pm on performance evenings. Interval drinks can be ordered before the performance. It is not permitted to remove drinks from the bar area.

Refreshments
Hot drinks are available at the Refreshments bar in the foyer during the interval on performance evenings.

Programmes
All productions at HGLT have an accompanying programme available to purchase for £1. Programmes are available from the foyer or from the ushers on the doors to the auditorium.

Cloakroom
The cloakroom can be found in the foyer of the theatre in between the Veitch and Signature Theatres. The cloakroom is not staffed.

Using our car park
To help keep our car park safe and available for everyone, we use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras. These record your car’s registration number when you enter and leave, so the system knows how long you’ve stayed.
Validating your parking
If you’re visiting HGLT — whether you’re here for a show or just dropping someone off — please enter your car’s registration number at one of our validation consoles. You’ll find them on the counter at the Box Office in the foyer. This links your visit to your parking session and ensures your stay is free or correctly validated.
Avoiding parking fines
Don’t forget to validate! If you don’t enter your registration number, the system won’t recognise your stay and you could receive a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) or fine.

Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in any part of the building.

Photography/Recordings/Mobile phones
The use of cameras and video recording equipment is strictly forbidden in the theatre. Mobile phones should be turned off during a performance.

Intervals
Most performances have an interval of 20 minutes where you can get a drink from either the bar of refreshment bar. If you would like to pre-order a drink to avoid queuing in the interval, please ask at the bar before the show.

Accessibility
There are spaces to accommodate wheelchairs at the front of the Veitch Theatre, for which no charge is made, with a free seat nearby for an escort, but we do require users to take out audience membership (£1.00 per season). Please also ensure that prior arrangement is made with the Box Office.

We regret we are unable to accommodate wheelchair users in our Signature Theatre at present. An induction loop is provided for the benefit of hearing aid users. Please ask for details.
